Home Study

Well, it looks like home study will begin next Saturday. I'm a little nervous but who wouldn't love the Barretts. Who wouldn't want us to be their parents.

Also next week, we get to undergo testing for T.B., Syphilis, HIV and Hepatitis. All in all it will be a big week. In the midst of it all, we are also refinancing our house in order to put extra money aside for later.

Lots to do, including Christmas cards. We will update you on how our first home study visit went and what will be to come.

Who wouldn't want you to be their parents? The answer is: someone who hates love.

How are they testing you for all those things? Are we talking about a blood draw, here? If so, first be sure to have them draw an extra vial for the mortgage refinancing people. Sure, it's a little "Angelina-Billy Bob", but imagine how impressed they'll be when you walk in with your own pre-drawn, hermetically sealed vial of blood to include in the application! Fucking mortgage brokers. (Sorry I wrote the f-word on Chloe's blog. But I'm going to assume she doesn't read English yet, so hopefully we're okay.)

Also, here's more lawyer-type advice: be sure not to sign the blood draw waiver if it says anything at all about them running any DNA tests. Then they'll find out your secret superhero identities and THE WORLD WILL BE RUINED.

I certainly hope you won't let this "home study" stand in your way of participating in the SEC Championship game viewing party tomorrow. We DO have priorities, yanno.....
