Hello Everyone:
We have been diligently working on a family education manual. This is a 207 page document we need to digest containing numerous "thought-provoking" questions we need to have answered by this Saturday. Its tiring, but we are learning a lot. Definitely worth reading, just wish we had started sooner.
Just wanted to let you know what we we're up to. We have our second home study visit this Saturday and need to have this completed by then.

man, i wish we started sooner, too. but, once it's done, it's done. there's a whole lot of hurry up and wait, slow down and run.
and there's still tons left to do.
Okay, tonight I found a leftover fortune cookie and I was looking for something to eat with my new "Mountain Dew VOLTAGE" beverage. Because I am the epitome of health and nutrition. Anyway I held the cookie for a moment and thought about it and said to myself, whatever this fortune says will be prophetic of the Dot Barrett Baby Quest 09. And the fortune says, "You will receive a surprising gift very soon." I think we can all agree this must go in the baby book.
Gina, that is quite prophetic. I got chills when I read that. Save the fortune and we'll definitely put it in the baby book.
I hope that soon means within the year and not within the next 2 to 3 years.
By the way, was the Mountain Dew VOLTAGE a good pairing for the fortune cookie?
Mountain Dew VOLTAGE! It's what Dew drinkers voted as the best new Dew! It's flavored with raspberry and ginseng! I actually only bought it because I thought it was ultra-caffeinated and I was suffering from a lack of sleep. Not that I thought the Dew would help me sleep. I'm saying I wasn't using my best judgment. Hosho tried to stop me, but he could not, because I am a freight train. Anyway, it's very sweet. Not great with the fortune cookie.
I'm going to mail you that fortune. I'm telling you it's going to happen. Mark it in the baby book-- "fortune found on 1-14-09", and I betya it will only be a matter of months.
Hilarious.
you know, Gina, I live my life based on fortune cookies.
Before I proposed to Julee I cracked open a fortune cookie to give me guidance on whether I should or not. I got this:
"You are vigorous in words and action."
I think it's evident why I asked her.
Before we moved to Salt Lake, I consulted another fortune cookie:
"Constant grinding can turn an iron nod into a needle."
I mean, it's fated in the cookie.
So, when I read what happened, I gotta tell you...I don't really see where this has anything to do with us. Am I missing something? If it said "When you row another person across the river, you get there yourself." then I would understand your excitement, but your fortune is just confusing.
:)
